Afghan Life is a collection of 3 3/4 inch figures depicting village life in Afghanistan. The collection facilitates cultural education and storytelling for children. The packaging is in the style of retro action figures, and a vehicle in a plastic-free window box in accordance with recent industry trends.
In my research on Afghan action figures, I was only able to find figures catered to military displays. I want to bring a new perspective to the image of Afghanistan by creating a product aimed towards children.. The figures feature a clamshell construction with a sonic welded seam and mushroom shaped pegs to allow for movement.

The back of the packaging card also features an Afghan rug that can be cut out to decorate the child's make believe house.
3 3/4 inch was chosen for the same reason it was chosen for the original Star Wars line, it is a great size for a child's hand and it allows for compatibility with vehicles and playsets. For the age group that is likely to do domestic role play, 3 3/4 scale is ideal.
